Inspiring Women Conference A Hit For Our Students

Twenty-four young women from our Fifth and Sixth Year attended an INSPIRING WOMEN event at The Foundry in Google HQ. It was held on International Women’s Day, 8th March.
Two of our students interviewed on stage the CEO of Google, Fionnuala Meehan and the Chief Operating Officer of Bank of America, Patty Clement.
The key note speaker was Minister Katherine Zappone.
Inspiring the Future Ireland (ITFI), an initiative run by South Dublin County Partnership,  launched its ‘Inspiring Women’ campaign, which aims to give young school students from disadvantaged areas a chance to hear from successful female role models working in a broad variety of roles and industries.

It was a great success where 250 young women heard from 25 female leaders in business, education, science and the arts.
