KN Circet, a local company, based in Cloverhill which has enjoyed phenomenal growth in recent years announced a long term partnership with the school. They announced it through their social media channels and we quote some of the post:
“To support the local communities we work in and the continuing growth of the business KN Circet have just launched a long term IT partnership with Collinstown Park Community College in Dublin, near our HQ. The college does an outstanding job in training both new entrants and career changers in the latest aspects of IT (including Data Centre and Fibre Networking). We welcome Jess and Henry to the team, who join our new 13 week internship for the summer. Once complete they will return for their 2nd year of college and maintain a weekly link with us throughout to put what they learn into practice. Eddie also joined the team this week after completing his 2nd, and final year at the college. He was successful at interview for a permanent position after a very competitive process.
Eithne Hogan (DC Academy Coordinator at Collinstown): “This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain experience in a real work environment. They are able to learn first-hand from specialists and see how what they have been taught in class is used to help a business run. Stephen, Damien and the wider KNCircet community have provided us with great support to date and it’s is truly wonderful to see us all take the next step.” Damien Gallagher (MD for Ireland): “We have excellent links with the college on a range of subjects and specialisms from Operations through Finance and Technology. This is about us supporting the communities in which we work. Adding this partnership to our existing graduate intake and apprentice programmes shows the importance we put on developing our people and the right skills. We see technology as a driver of the continued growth and success of the company, both in Ireland and throughout the UK so this is a very important step.” Stephen McArdle (Group IT Director): “The goal is to create a conveyor belt of talent for the industry. The IT Internship has formalised the programme for the years ahead providing the students both work experience and better opportunities to secure full time roles post qualification. The calibre of graduating students is excellent and working with the college on the future curriculum will mean we can bring through the right skills to support us in the future, which is a win-win!”
