Basketball has been running in Collinstown Park CC for quite a number of years. Currently we have First Year boys basketball and u19 boys basketball.
Both teams train very hard and give 100% commitment.
First Year Basketball
The First Year boys started playing basketball in January and worked really hard with their coaches Ms Clarke and Seán Kennedy. They enjoyed it so much that we extended the training time from one hour to an hour and a half.
In April, we travelled to Gonzaga College for a match.
It was an exciting game with both teams eager to show off the new skills they had learnt. Collinstown won on a score of 12-11. Our top scorer was Rokas Galinauskas with 6 points.
All the boys learnt a lot from the match which they brought to training sessions towards the end of the year.
